Jim's Note: I can't exactly remember the story behind this song, but it was completed in 1989. The eighties were dominated by the Reagan years, and the Thatcher years. Two politically conservative leaders intent on redrawing the boundaries of right wing politics in both America and Britain. 
This must have been my response to those years of nuclear brinkmanship, and fear.
I've always regarded this as a song for children and young people, but it works across all ages.
