Jim writes:
"As soon as I saw this painting I wanted it for the cover of my CD. There was something about the face - the sadness in the eyes and mouth, the general mood surrounding the image - that I connected with right away.
"The cover also reflects many of the themes on the album: the sadness of Madeleine & The Devil, and Night Falls Over Manhattan, the bleakness of Some Mother's Son, and the loneliness of The Crying Ground and Is This The Promise?
"The artist, Sarah-Jane Cook is in fact my niece, and I thank her for creating such a powerful piece of art, and allowing me to use it as the cover of my recording."
